| Chair Delivery and Logistics |
|
Delivering 45 Adirondack chairs to locations
throughout Cape Ann and the North Shore is no small job,
but all chairs made it to their Sponsors or Host
Locations. The task of delivering all 45 chairs to their
locations was made possible with the help of Bonnie
Angus, Porter & J. B. Bingle, Christine Hallice,
Ashley Jerome, and Greg Neal.
In addition,
Sponsor Liaison Committee members are busy visiting the
chairs on location, making sure the brochures are
stocked and the chairs are safely displayed. Thank You!

| Save the Date for the Gala Auction!
|
|
With only a little over a month until the Gala
Auction, our committee members are working hard to plan
a very special evening & fundraising event for
Pathways for Children. The committee is happy to
announce that Senator Bruce Tarr, along with community
member Jack Good, will be the co- auctioneers for the
event.
The location of this exciting evening
will be the Morse Business Park, overlooking the pond
across from the Signery. The site was chosen in
recognition of Gloucester's small businesses and their
contribution to our community. Invitations to the event
are going out soon – ticket prices are $100.00 per
person. If you’d like to add your name to the invitation
list, please contact Stephanie at swalters@pw4c.org or
978-281-2400 ext. 154

| Senator Tarr Offers Community a Seat
|
|
We are excited to announce a community raffle for one
of the youth Adirondack chairs. Not only is Senator
Bruce Tarr acting as co-auctioneer at the Gala Auction,
but he also designed and painted “Sesame Street Sitter”.
This fun chair is on display at the Gloucester
Chamber of Commerce, 33 Commercial Street, where
tourists and community members can stop by for a chance
to win this one-of- a-kind piece of artwork. Be sure to
visit the Chamber during the month of August and fill
out a raffle ticket! The winner will be drawn on
Tuesday, September 5th. Good Luck!

The CHAIRS for CHILDREN preview party was a great

enjoyed the picnic theme with mini gourmet BBQ burgers
provided by Woodman’s of Essex.

to the following for their help in making the evening
fabulous; Tobin and Jeff Arsenault, Julie Geary of
Classic Cooks, The Liquor Locker, Donna Roy and
Woodman’s of Essex, Livia Cowan and Mariposa, Tony

| The Horribles Parade |
|
Some of the chairs got a special ride on the CHAIRS
for CHILDREN Horribles Parade Float on July 3rd. Two
flatbed trucks, courtesy of Brett Ramsey of Farm Creek,
were transformed for the events first public unveiling.
Along with the Secret Service Band and some volunteers,
the chairs wound their way through the streets of
Gloucester wowing the crowds. The CHAIRS for CHILDREN
floats won first place for Beauty, Creativity and Music.
Special thanks to the following for their help; Bonnie
Angus, Joan Collier, Catherine Gunn, Stevie LeDuc,
Stevie Neal, Matt Pardee, Steve and Patty Pardee, Brett
Ramsey and The Secret Service Band.

| Did you Know? |
|
Pathways for Children’s School Age Program is open
year round. The program provides care for children
during all school vacations, including the summer.
Funding has been supported through donations made
by Gorton’s Seafoods, Gloucester Female Charitable
Association, The Dean Foundation for Little Children
and the A.C. Ratshesky Foundation. This support enables
the children to take field trips including visits
to the Franklin Park Zoo, The Aquarium, Museum of
Science, Brooksby Farms and Canabie Lake Park. The
children also benefit from fun summer themed curriculums,
summer reading, and computer lab experience.
