Lobster Landings Follow-up Event Revealed!
Chosen for their coastal charm and useful purpose, these Adirondack chairs have been crafted especially for Pathways by master craftsman Scott Masi of York, Maine. Constructed of solid mahogany with stainless steel fittings for strength and durability, these chairs carry a classic Adirondack design known for its unique curved back and wide armrests. These one-of-a-kind pieces will be auctioned in September 2006, raising much-needed funds for Pathway's programs. 2004's Lobster Landings event raised more than $140,000 to help Pathways fill the gaps caused by cutbacks in state and local funding, and served as a major media, cultural, and tourist event for Cape Ann. Nearly 200 businesses and individuals helped make Lobster Landings 2004 a community success. "When I reflect on the highlights of my career as the CEO of Pathways, one that will always stand out will be the phenomenal success of the auction of the magnificent public art Lobsters in 2004" said Sue Todd, President and CEO of Pathways. "The experience of watching so many people caught up in the magic of an evening in support of our children will be difficult to replicate. As I sit in on committee meetings with legions of volunteers preparing for our '06 'Chairs for Children' event, I am inclined to believe I will have the opportunity to experience that once again! The financial support this event provides is critical to our ability to provide the highest quality of services to each of the 425 children we work with each day. The community connections, contagious excitement, and just plain fun make this event a winner for all involved - but especially so for our kids. The interest, participation, and support of our special community mean the world to us." For more information please visit www.pw4c.org.
